MFO “CreditPlus” planted trees on a new alley in Almaty

CreditPlus and Credit365, together with the Association of Microfinance Organizations of Kazakhstan (AMFOK) and other business representatives, planted trees in Almaty as part of supporting and promoting a sustainable business development agenda.

On April 8, 2023, a tree-planting event took place at the intersection of Abay Avenue and Ashimov Street. The idea of greening the city belongs to 10 MFIs in Kazakhstan, including CreditPlus and Credit365. The aim of the initiative is to improve the environmental situation and air quality in the city.

This initiative was organized in line with ESG principles. The ESG concept includes environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and high standards of corporate governance. In recent years, Kazakhstani companies have actively supported the sustainable development strategy and integrated it into their operations.

Management and employees of AMFOK, CreditPlus, Credit365, and other companies took part in planting trees.

“Participation in this initiative is part of our sustainable development strategy and our corporate culture. I believe that caring for the city and its residents is an important part of business social responsibility. I hope that tree planting will bring benefits and become a good tradition,” said CreditPlus CEO Andrey Mikitenko.

CreditPlus, like other participating MFIs, is committed to sustainable development in the areas of environmental, social, and corporate governance.

Environmental initiatives have long been part of the practices of CreditPlus and Credit365, contributing to more effective urban greening in Almaty and environmental protection
