About AMFOK

-        Association of Microfinance organizations of Kazakhstan (AMFOK) is non-commercial association of microfinance organizations working throughout the country. Association was founded in February 2004, when six leading microfinance organizations of Kazakhstan performed as AMFOK founders for the purpose of solving development problems of microfinance in the republic.

AMFOK`s mission is development of microfinance sector for sustainable provision of access of population to financial services for the purpose of decreasing the poverty level and support of economical growth.

Present time Association is united more than 70 non-banking financial institutions.

AMFOK PURPOSES:

-        development of microfinance sector as a part of the financial system of the country

-        strengthening of MFA`s members potential, effectiveness and productivity

-        perfection of legislation in the microfinance sphere

-        protection and performance of MFIs interests

-        attract and of investments to MF sector

-        conduct of seminars and trainings for MFIs

-        technical assistance of MCOs in the increasing the quality of financial statements

-        elaboration of recommendations on perfection of microfinance

AMFOK IS A PARTNER/MEMBER IN THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS:

-        Central Asian Microfinance Alliance (CAMFA)

-        Association of Financiers

-        Association of Taxpayers of Kazakhstan

-        Microfinance Center (MFC) for Eastern and Central Europe countries and CIS countries (Poland)

AMFOK ACHIEVEMENTS:

-        USAID Award for the fruitful work and invaluable contribution on development and strengthening of microfinance in the Republic of Kazakhstan

-        Signing the changes of Microcredit Law

-        Realization of World Bank and the Government of Republic of Kazakhstan Project on development of rural microfinance

-        Realization of Eurasia Foundation in Central Asia Project on strengthening MCOs

-        Accreditation in the Industry and Trade Ministry

-        Attract of investment to the microfinance sector

-        Activate a program of state financing of MCO

-        Assistance in increasing the sector transparency (ratings, MixMarket)
